First Continental Mortgage, Ltd. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations in a fast-paced mortgage environment.

You will supervise staff, manage month-end close, and ensure GAAP compliance while supporting financial reporting and investor obligations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive process improvements across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Five to eight or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills for accounting matters.

Responsabilités

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and reporting.
• Supervise 1–2 staff accountants and AP/AR personnel.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Review journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Maintain GL integrity and financial reporting systems.
• Oversee bank, warehouse lines, escrow, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support mortgage loan funding, servicing activities, and investor reporting.
• Analyze results, investigate variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with auditors/regulators.
• Assist Controller with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and automation in accounting.
