This Mortgage Loan Credit Specialist (MLCS) is responsible for monitoring and assisting credit-challenged customers who do not currently qualify for a home mortgage. The MLCS will work with potential homebuyers to educate them on qualifying for a home loan. The MLCS will also review their financial history and provide an action plan using tools such as the Credit Expert program and Dynamics CRM.

About the Role

The MLCS will:

1. Work closely with the Lennar Mortgage Division Manager, Loan Officers, and NHCs to educate and train potential customers for Lennar Mortgage’s Home Buyer Solutions Group.
2. Review credit history with customers and utilize credit expert reports to determine the best course of action to improve credit.
3. Counsel customers on action plans to resolve credit issues.
4. Obtain Homebuyer Education certificates from MI partners depending on location.
5. Educate customers on budgeting and saving for down payments using provided materials.
6. Assess credit reports and simulation results to recommend actions to increase credit ratings.
7. Secure written commitments from customers to enroll in HBSG and complete enrollment forms.
8. Follow up on the status of action plans and update communication records through pipeline management systems.
9. Cross-train for other positions within the organization as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of banking experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of various loan programs and credit requirements.
• Ability to analyze technical data and credit reports, and communicate results effectively.
