Job summary

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls in Chicago, IL, seeks a dedicated team member to oversee and manage the daily youth milieu/program during weekday hours, including wake-up routines, clerical tasks, and implementation of the Agency’s care framework.

Responsibilities include timely communication with schools and service providers, maintaining youth records, arranging transportation, handling petty cash, ensuring medical/dental appointments, and delivering de‑escalation and CPI-based interventions in

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years’ experience working with youth.
  • A valid Illinois driver’s license, ability to drive a van, and clean driving record.
  • Regular and predictable attendance; strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the youth milieu/program during weekday hours.
  • Keep records and coordinate paperwork with outside agencies and youth files.
  • Provide transportation for Youth as necessary, including morning drop-offs.
  • Manage petty cash and financial records for the Youth and program.
  • Engage with youth in daily routines and implement CPI-based de‑escalation techniques.
