Job summary

Meijer in Indiana is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and providing above-and-beyond service.

As part of the role you will work with multiple departments and support store operations, while developing organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or using equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and interior trash.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrances, lanes and parking areas.
• Support multiple departments across the store as needed.
• Role may include other duties as assigned.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
