Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Courtesy Team Member (Cart Attendant) in Michigan. You will support store operations, assist customers, and help keep the store tidy and safe.

This role offers exposure to multiple retail tasks including service desk coordination and department collaboration. We value organized, patient individuals with strong communication skills who can operate in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with attention to detail.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Collect and manage trash in parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for clearing snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrances, check lanes and parking areas.
• Coordinate with departments across Health & Beauty, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
