Job summary

Meijer is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks, including services provided by our store, product and customer service. This Meijer Courtesy Team Member role emphasizes interacting with people and delivering above-and-beyond customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The position is part-time with 25–30 hours per week, involving odd jobs around the store, restrooms, cart pushing, and related duties, with independence in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending while handling products or equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot.
• Work with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and know what 'above and beyond' customer service means.

This position is part time and would be varied hours. It is for odd jobs around the store, garbage's, cleaning restrooms, pushing carts, etc. Would be independent work, can be physical of lifting or pushing and would be around 25-30 hours a week

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
