Job summary

Labcorp in Earth City, MO is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods across ages, data entry, and assisting with billing while delivering excellent patient service.

Work schedule shows mornings Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays, supporting our Patient Service Centers and client sites. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
