Job summary

SLO Classical Academy in San Luis Obispo, CA, is seeking a part-time school van driver to transport students along morning routes from SLOCA to North County and back, Monday through Thursday, approx. 7:00 am to 8:15 am, through the end of the school year.

You will report to the Athletic Director, hold a valid California driver's license, have at least 3 years of driving, a clean record, CPR and First Aid training, be 21 or older, and pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Have a valid California driver’s license.
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Clean driving record for at least 1 year.
• CPR and First Aid training completed.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Report to duty on time and provide safe and reliable transportation of students on routes.
• Follow internal processes for vehicle use and student management.
• Drive safely and sober, respecting all traffic laws.
• Avoid double-parking, blocking entrances, and other violations.
• Wear corrective lenses if applicable.
• Document and provide receipts for driving expenses.
• Check van gas, tire pressure, and fluids regularly.
• Report vehicle damages or problems to the Athletic Director promptly.
