Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking a Custodian for Milford High School. The position runs on the 4:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m. shift with a contract salary of $16.92–$20.43 per hour. Start date is as soon as possible for the School Year 2026–2027.

The Custodian will ensure clean, safe, and secure facilities, perform grounds care, and support building operations. Work is indoor with occasional outdoor duties and required safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Custodian must keep assigned building(s) clean, safe and secure as per district standards.
• Must know operation of mechanical, electrical and heating units.
• Must be able to work on call for emergencies or outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the building daily and during special events.
• Maintain grounds, mow grass and care for flowers and shrubbery.
• Assist the principal, foreman, or working leader as requested.
