Job summary

Oakland Human Resources Consortium is seeking a Custodian for Milford High School on the AM shift. The role includes cleaning, safety, and security tasks, with grounds care and snow/ice removal responsibilities. Typical hours run 4:45 a.m.

to 1:15 p.m., with a contract salary range of $16.92–$20.43 per hour for the 2026–2027 school year. Reports to the Working Foreman, Principal, or Supervisor of Operations; start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Directly responsible to the working foreman and/or principal in secondary buildings and principal in the elementary buildings when school is in session and to the Supervisor of Operations at all other times.
• Perform the assigned work schedule following approved custodial job procedures.
• Must have knowledge of the operation of mechanical, electrical and heating units in the building.

Responsibilities

• Keep assigned buildings clean, safe, functional and secure per codes and district standards.
• Care for grounds including mowing, snow/ice removal, and plant care around the building.
• Maintain neat storage areas for custodial supplies and equipment.
