Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties across designated areas in K-12 schools, colleges, or university campuses. The role pays $19.90 per hour and runs Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm. Training is provided, and no diploma is required.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
No experience required and on-the job training provided.
No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
One year of prior similar work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned area, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and offices.
Sweep, mop floors, and remove debris in designated areas.
Empty trash and manage recycling where applicable.
Follow safety procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment.
Notify lead cleaner or manager about repairs or maintenance needs.
Maintain communication with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
Dust desks, chairs, tables, fixtures, doors, and walls.
Polish wood, stainless steel, and other hard surfaces.
Arrange and move furniture as needed for cleaning tasks.
Clean interior windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Perform seasonal tasks like raking leaves or snow removal.
Ensure restrooms are clean and sanitary.
