Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts in Omaha is seeking a Morning Restaurant Supervisor for the Omaha Marriott Downtown. You will lead a high-energy team, oversee front- and back-of-house operations, and drive service excellence to create memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, training, inventory control, and ensuring quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction while using POS systems to run efficient shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or hospitality supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience with bartending and knowledge of food and beverage operations.

What you will be doing:

• Perform all front- and back-of-house roles, including server, cashier, and expeditor as needed.
• Supervise staff and oversee department operations in the manager's absence.
• Support ongoing training to uphold exceptional service and brand standards.
• Monitor food quality, service, cleanliness, and sanitation across all areas.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control payroll and equipment costs.
• Build positive guest relationships by promoting services and through resolving concerns effectively.
• Utilize POS and restaurant management systems to ensure accurate transactions, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Model professionalism while supporting hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous bartending experience and knowledge of food and beverage operations, including staffing, equipment, and guest relations.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, to be able to handle guest requests and banquet event orders.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and diplomacy.
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout shifts in restaurant and kitchen areas.
• Proficient knife skills and ability to perform prep work with dexterity.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required and must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holiday.
