Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard - Patrol Driver for the Rockford, IL area. This full-time position involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols at a technology-focused site, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Core duties include conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and producing incident reports. The role requires a valid driver’s license, with CPR and Guard Card/License preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify visitor/contractor authorization per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations and other critical events calmly and report to site contacts and emergency services.
• Prepare clear incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation for Allied Universal leadership.
