Job summary

Sartiano’s is seeking a Morning Pastry Cook to join the pastry department, working with the Executive Pastry Chef and Lead Pastry Cook to produce morning pastries and baking for daily service and events.

The 8:00 AM–4:00 PM shift emphasizes mise en place, organization, and preparation for service, with opportunities to strengthen technical pastry skills under a seasoned leadership team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional pastry or baking experience in upscale settings.
• Culinary or pastry school training is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Solid foundation in pastry and baking techniques, including dough handling and cake assembly.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily pastry and baking production according to recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare mise en place for daily service, private dining, events, and evening production.
• Follow recipes and techniques with precision and consistency.
• Assist with dough handling, proofing, baking, chocolate work, cake assembly, and finishing.
• Maintain organized pastry stations, walk-ins, and storage following FIFO and dating.
