Job summary

Follett Content Solutions in McHenry, IL is hiring a part-time Custodian (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-12:00pm) to maintain facility and equipment in working, safe condition. This onsite, non-exempt position offers a pay range of $17.00-$22.00 per hour with Mondays to Fridays coverage and potential long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include cleaning lobby and warehouse areas, restrooms, break areas, and office spaces; trash disposal; recycling; and maintaining cleaning logs

Qualifications

• Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuum floor scrubbers/pressure washers.
• Ability to read and use cleaning chemicals safely and according to Safety Data sheets (SDS).
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain Cleaning Logs and complete assigned checklist.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards or supply shortages.

Responsibilities

• Clean lobby and entrance areas; vacuum and straighten mats.
• Sweep and mop break areas; sanitize lunch tables; manage outdoor umbrellas.
• Stock paper and pick up debris; empty trash and recycle cans.
• Clean warehouse stairs, hallways, and office areas as needed.
