Job summary

Actalent in Somerset, NJ is seeking an Engineering Manufacturing Technician to assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in a fast-paced production environment.

You will read blueprints, use precision tools, operate robotics and fixed automation, and perform inspections to ensure tolerances are met. This role is fully onsite with opportunities to grow across multiple stations.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling complex assemblies and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, drawings and work instructions.
• Proficiency with precision measurement instruments.
• Experience troubleshooting fit and tolerance issues.
• Willingness to work across multiple assembly stations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assemble complex subassemblies.
• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical parts using hand and power tools.
• Position, align, fasten, and adjust components per specifications.
• Connect cables and wiring per instructions.
• Inspect and test units to verify specifications and tolerances.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, verniers.
• Operate assembly equipment, robotics, and fixed automation.
• Move between stations to support production flexibility.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
