Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Data Center Technician 1 to assemble, wire, test, and troubleshoot high‑reliability electrical and electromechanical assemblies used in critical power and industrial equipment. You will follow engineering docs, support production schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, electrical schematics.
• Experience with wiring, crimping, soldering in a production setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and use of hand tools.
• Familiarity with IPC-620 workmanship standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow written and verbal work instructions, engineering specifications, and assembly procedures to complete tasks accurately.
• Perform wiring, crimping, soldering, cable routing, and cable assembly per design requirements.
• Build complex electromechanical assemblies, harnesses, control panels, cabinets per engineering drawings and customer specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly documentation.
• Operate manufacturing equipment and hand tools to support assembly processes.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly, electrical, and mechanical defects.
• Perform inspections, continuity checks, and functional testing to verify requirements.
• Build custom assemblies to customer specs and suggest improvements for quality and manufacturability.
• Collaborate within production to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Perform rework, repairs, and modifications as required by changes or findings.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper storage of tools/materials.
