Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Green Bay, WI is hiring a Morning Lifeguard for the opening pool shift from 5:15 am to 1:00 pm, amounting to 25 hours per week. The role emphasizes safety during fitness classes, splash play, and swim lessons.

You will enforce rules, monitor activity, and assist patrons while upholding the Wisconsin-approved aquatic staffing plan. Benefits include paid training, PTO, holidays, and a pension.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Lifeguard certification required.
• Waterpark Certification preferred; must be completed upon hire.
• Experience in lifeguarding in a group environment preferred.
• Experience working with adults, youth, and children.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities and enforce safety regulations.
• Rescue swimmers in danger and provide first aid/CPR when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of pool areas and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons and staff.
• Maintain inventory and report defects of aquatic equipment.
• Set up/breakdown facility equipment as needed.
• Perform water quality tests per SOPs.
• Maintain records of programs and operations.
• Participate in staff training and professional development.
