Job summary

City of Macedonia is seeking a Lifeguard for the Macedonia Rec Center. This part-time, non-exempt position requires guarding the pool during morning and day shifts and ensuring patron safety.

The role involves monitoring the pool, performing rescues, and light cleaning of pool facilities. Candidates should have Lifeguard Training with CPR/AED and First Aid, and be able to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard Training certification with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and first aid.
• Strong interpersonal communication with the public and co-workers.
• Knowledge of emergency action plans and ability to work flexible shifts.
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean swimming pool environment.
• Perform rescues as needed for pool patrons.
• Light cleaning and maintenance of pool areas and locker rooms.
• Maintain personal fitness to perform lifeguard duties.
• React to emergencies following established procedures.
