Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Lifeguard to supervise the Aquatic Center pool and related spaces.

This part-time, non-exempt role may require mornings, evenings, and weekends to ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment for youth and adults. Responsibilities include enforcing policies, performing first aid and rescues, maintaining records, monitoring water quality, and supporting program staff.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of lifeguarding experience preferred.
• Current Lifeguarding certification or willingness to obtain before starting.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED for professional rescuers certification.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Group leadership skills and understanding of group dynamics.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and internet applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and enforcement of policies in aquatic spaces.
• Perform first aid and emergency rescues when necessary.
• Maintain records of daily use, incidents, inventory, and client feedback.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety standards and emergency procedures.
• Participate in maintenance of program spaces, water quality monitoring and safety inspections.
• Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct and safety of members.
