Job summary

Sweet Mary's Bakery in Akron, Ohio is seeking a full-time, experienced Baker/Pastry Chef to lead our morning bake and craft croissants and macarons. Must work 30+ hours per week, with early shifts beginning around 5am on most weekdays and at least one weekend day.

2+ years of commercial, from-scratch baking is required. We train on our techniques, but candidates should be versatile and eager to learn. A pastry degree is beneficial but not required. Pay starts at $19/hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Experience baking in a commercial kitchen is REQUIRED.
• 2+ years of commercial from-scratch baking experience required.
• Ability to bake yeasted doughs, cakes, custards and laminated pastries.

Responsibilities

• Lead morning bake and execute pastries including croissants and macarons.
• Follow defined recipes and methods and maintain quality standards.
