Job summary

Omni Parker House is seeking a friendly Host to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will greet and seat guests, manage reservations and phone inquiries, and maintain the host stand with high cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on food and beverage knowledge, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. You will participate in daily stand-ups and uphold Omni Parker House standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on food and beverage knowledge.
• Fine dining host experience preferred.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to engage guests at all levels and provide warm, personalized service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Punctual and professional demeanor.
• Excellent English communication.
• Computer literacy including payroll, Micros and POS systems.
• Unexpired Food Handler's Certification & TABC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service standards and adhere to hotel standards and local laws.
• Prepare for health department and Ecosure inspections.
• Answer phones, manage reservations, seat guests, greet guests and communicate restaurant concepts.
• Organize host stand and guest entrance and ensure guest flow.
• Follow proper trash procedures and keep areas clean and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items.
• Report maintenance or housekeeping needs.
• Maintain furniture, fixtures and equipment in good condition.
• Ensure high-quality table settings and seating arrangements.
• Respond effectively to guest complaints to foster return visits.
• Address guest requests promptly to create memorable experiences.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel offerings and local surroundings.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff during service.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings and team trainings.
• Support cleanliness of both FOH and BOH restaurant spaces.
• Follow Restaurant Event Orders.
• Foster mutual trust and cooperation among co-workers.
• Maintain a professional appearance per Omni Parker House standards.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain a safe guest environment.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
