Job summary

Stateline Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Group Fitness Instructor to lead classes for active older adults. Classes run mornings, with availability at both YMCA branches, and a focus on safe, engaging activities that support strength, balance, flexibility, and overall wellness.

You will foster a welcoming environment, tailor modifications for all levels, and promote member engagement while upholding the YMCA mission and values. CPR/AED certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience with leading group fitness classes is preferred.
• Ability to engage and encourage participants of all fitness levels.
• CPR/AED certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Training provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Lead group fitness classes for active older adults.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere.
• Provide modifications to accommodate varying fitness levels.
• Promote member engagement and safe exercise practices.
