Job summary

The Facilities Group National is seeking a Floor Tech for the morning shift in Brookshire, TX. The role involves keeping floors clean, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and operating floor equipment while following safety procedures. You should have a high school diploma or GED, janitorial experience, knowledge of cleaning equipment, be able to pass a background check, and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, hallways and common areas.
• Move furniture before and after cleaning.
• Clean, dust, mop, strip and wax floors.
• Operate floor equipment including extractors and buffers.
• Use floor polishers, vacuums, mops and strippers.
• Inspect floors for damage and perform minor repairs.
• Measure chemicals correctly and operate dispensing units.
• Label chemicals correctly and store PPE properly.
• Maintain and store equipment and PPE.
• Keep inventory of floor areas and schedule cleaning tasks.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assist with hazardous waste collection as requested.
