Job summary

ISD 728 is seeking an Elementary Targeted Services Teacher for Zimmerman Elementary School in Wahpeton, ND. This temporary role runs Jan 11, 2027 through Mar 5, 2027, with assignments on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:30am to 8:30am (1hr 12mins including prep).

The teacher will develop materials, conduct instruction, assess student performance, and communicate progress to parents while supporting district goals and curricular alignment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Appropriate licensure for area of teaching.
• Demonstrated teaching skills.

• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans instruction and other student support activities aligned with district goals; prepares daily lesson plans.
• Delivers instruction to students using appropriate level and methods; monitors progress and adjusts as needed.
• Establishes behavior expectations and maintains order in class and school activities.
• Participates in parent/teacher conferences and maintains grade records to inform progress.
• Collaborates with other staff to address student needs and share best teaching practices.
• Develops tests and reports grades to parents; maintains knowledge of subject matter and district curriculum.
• Pursues professional development to improve teaching skills and content knowledge.
• Keeps accurate records and documentation; supports continued learning and improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
