Job summary

Meijer is hiring entry-level team members to support various retail tasks across departments. You will gain exposure to customer service, stocking, cart movement, and store operations with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Flexibility in scheduling is required, with availability on our three busiest sales days and a start time as early as 7:00am. This role offers an opportunity to develop in a team‑oriented family company environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinating and collecting trash from parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment when needed.
• Manage perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot teams.
• Work with departments across Health & Beauty Care, Hardware, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, and more.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Hiring Immediately up to $14.50/hr. based on experience and the Union Pay Scale.

Required Scheduling Availability: Days are flexible, but you must be available on our 3 busiest sales days (F, S, S) and you must be available starting at the latest 7:00am.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and know what 'above and beyond' customer service means.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
