Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation designs and delivers packaging solutions to protect goods, enable e-commerce, and create resilient supply chains. The Set-up Technician will set up bag-making equipment, collaborate with maintenance to improve processes, and support production to ensure efficiency and quality on the morning shift.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, knowledge of electrical controls, and experience with Allen-Bradley Logix/Studio 5000 and Oracle WMS.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably food processing or packaging.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, controls, PLCs and mechanical systems.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley Logix/Studio 5000 and Oracle WMS.

Responsibilities

• Safely and courteously follow company policies and procedures.
• Promptly communicate changeover and set-up issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on lines related to set-up.
• Review batch orders and bag specs for setup information.
• Manage all changeovers and set-ups within allotted times.
• Support production operators to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Remove and inspect tooling for damage; maintain tooling.
• Generate HIPPO work orders when needed.
• Verify setup samples meet customer specifications.
