Job summary

The Pantry Bend is seeking a part-time breakfast cook to support our morning program, delivering house-made dishes with care while maintaining quick, friendly service. Two morning shifts offer steady workflow and room to grow with additional tasks.

This role may expand into baking pastries or barista duties for those with relevant experience, all while maintaining a positive, cooperative kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook experience or culinary training.
• Oregon Food Handlers Card and knowledge of safe food practices.
• Reliable, hardworking, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work the line and prep food efficiently by yourself.
• Open to a flexible work schedule and picking up assisting shifts.
• Experience with baking pastries and/or barista work is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Cooking hot breakfast foods with recipes, including burritos and sandwiches
• Preparing ingredients to specifications for service, including cutting, par-cooking, and sauce making
• Keeping a clean and organized workspace during and after service
• Tracking and logging station inventory for BoH communication
• Supporting baristas with customer service and prep tasks, such as making milks and syrups with recipes
