Job summary

SA Hospitality Group in New York seeks a bartender/wait staff member to prepare beverages and serve guests at the bar or through the dining room. You will maintain a clean, well-stocked bar, follow closing checklists, manage cash and tabs, and stay up-to-date on our menu, wine lists, and signature cocktails.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively in English, and assist with duties across bar and front lounge areas. ADA accommodations available as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
• Excellent English communication and listening skills.
• Time management and ability to work under pressure in high-volume service.
• Basic food handling, prep and cleaning skills welcomed.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet bar guests and acknowledge those waiting for tables.
• Prepare cocktails and coffee drinks for dining room or bar guests as ordered.
• Ensure accurate measurements of cocktail ingredients, especially signature drinks.
• Enter all drinks correctly on checks and manage tabs when not closed immediately.
• Maintain bar and front lounge cleanliness and refilling stock as needed.
• Keep liquor, beer, wine, juices and waters stocked and organized.
• Keep ingredients and garnishes ready for beverage preparation and signature cocktails.
• Communicate issues with equipment or environment to management promptly.
• Attend ongoing education to stay expert on menus and offerings.
