Job summary

Covelo Group is seeking a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Aide for a school-based, part-time morning role in Alhambra, CA. Shift is 8:00 AM–11:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with a stable schedule that supports students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in the classroom.

You will use basic ASL or visual communication to help students stay engaged, reinforce routines, and assist with hearing aids or FM systems. Collaboration with teachers and staff is essential to document progress and support IEP goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic ASL skills or experience with Deaf/HOH students.
• At least 6 months of experience with children or individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication, patience and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Use ASL or visual communication to support students in the classroom.
• Help students stay engaged during lessons, activities, and transitions.
• Reinforce instructions and classroom routines.
• Assist with hearing aids, FM systems, or other devices.
• Support with personal care needs when needed.
• Document support and assist with IEP-related notes.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff throughout the day.
