Job summary

Albemarle Middle School in Albemarle, North Carolina seeks a part-time bus driver to transport students to and from school and events, maintaining safety and discipline on the bus.

Hours are 6:00am–8:30am and 1:45pm–4:30pm, totaling about 26 hours per week during a 10‑month term. Position reports to Transportation Route Coordinator/Director of Transportation. Starting date: immediately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid NC CDL with passenger and bus endorsement is required.
• Commercial Driver’s License with P and S Endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus and transport students to and from school and events.
• Maintain safety and discipline on the bus.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies.
• Fuel, clean, and maintain the bus as needed.
• Record mileage and related reports.
