Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Houston, TX, seeks a Moonbase Test and Evaluation Facility Senior Engineer to lead testing, safety, and facility operations at NASA Johnson Space Center. This full‑time role combines onsite work with remote flexibility to meet mission needs.

You will coordinate with NASA and Moonbase teams, manage assets and compliance, and drive verification and validation activities for lunar simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or another STEM field
• 10+ years of professional engineering/scientific experience incl. facilities safety
• Experience leading partnerships with US government and engaging senior leaders
• Knowledge of NASA program life cycle and milestone reviews
• Experience leading NASA Human In The Loop Testing systems and protocols
• Excellent oral and written communication for technical and managerial audiences
• Ability to coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and teams
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage Moon Base facility testing: access, readiness, and safety
• Coordinate with NASA Moonbase Mission & Systems Interoperability office
• Ensure safety regulations compliance (NASA/OSHA) and emergency procedures
• Support V&V testing for lunar-architecture systems and assets
• Plan, prioritize, and lead test schedules and readiness reviews
• Lead test preparation and reporting activities; provide required facilities and infrastructure
