Job summary

Lunar Outpost in Golden, CO is seeking a Senior Test Systems Engineer to support the AI&T team on the Pegasus LTV program, developing test requirements, planning campaigns, and building test platforms for NASA-class vehicles. You will lead test execution, write procedures, and coordinate with IPTs to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a strong background in aerospace engineering, NASA standards, and hands-on lab work, plus excellent documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 4–8 years of test and qualification campaigns for NASA Class A or human-rated vehicles.
• Experience leading and executing engineering test efforts for verification and validation.
• Familiarity with NASA AI&T standards (SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-8739).
• Understanding of NASA verification and validation processes.
• Strong test documentation skills (plans, procedures, reports).
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes and best practices.
• MS Office skills, especially Excel and Project.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop test requirements and plans in coordination with IPTs.
• Support IPT generation of test reports.
• Plan and execute component, subassembly, and subsystem qualification campaigns.
• Lead design, build, and test of vehicle test platforms and prototypes.
• Lead development of qualification/test campaign schedules and execute campaigns on schedule to drive program progress.
• Write test procedures and processes to support qualification at the component, subsystem, and vehicle level.
• Provide expert inputs to program schedules and budgets as well as regular status of campaign execution.
