Job summary

Advanced Space is offering a 2027 Machine Learning Summer Internship onsite at our Westminster, Colorado headquarters. You will design, develop, and apply machine learning models for aerospace applications, mentored by experienced staff, and work on meaningful projects tied to space missions.

You should be pursuing a degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Statistics with Python, Pandas, NumPy, and ML framework experience. Knowledge of Git and collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics or a related field.
• Experience programming in Python and data processing with Pandas/NumPy/Scikit-learn.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Good understanding of ML concepts: supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction.
• Familiar with Git and software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning solutions for aerospace applications.
• Build, test, and evaluate ML models for space missions.
• Analyze data, perform preprocessing, feature engineering and model optimization.
• Collaborate with aerospace and software engineers to integrate ML solutions.
• Document work and present results to the team.
