SPECIMEN SPECIALISTS OF AMERICA, INC. is hiring for a primary DNA collector position at the Tensas Parish Courthouse in Saint Joseph, LA. The role involves performing buccal swab collections for clients in and around Tensas Parish, related to pending child support cases.

Extremely part-time with 2 shifts per month, and 9am–12pm hours. Applicants should have strong customer service skills, the ability to work with the public, and report to the site for each testing shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform cheek swab specimen collections.
• Take photos and ink prints of clients.

Job description

Our company is looking to hire the candidate for our primary DNA collector position for testing held at the Tensas Parish Courthouse.

The main role of the job will be providing DNA testing (buccal swab) on the behalf of clients in and around Tensas Paris as it relates to pending child support cases.

PLEASE NOTE - extremely part-time position - 2 shifts each month

Having a medical background is preferred but not required for this position. Applicants should have great customer service skills and work well in a team environment yet be able to work independently. Must be reliable, professional and have a great attitude. Applicants must also have reliable transportation to report to the site for each testing shift.

DRAW SITE: Tensas Parish Courthouse, St Joseph LA 71366

RECURRING SCHEDULE: 2 -Tuesday shifts per month

HOURS: 9am-12pm

UPCOMING SHIFT: Tuesday 10/27/2026

All staff will receive complete online training and over-the-phone training, as well as all supplies required for the position. A background check will be conducted after hire.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform cheek swab specimen collections
• Take Photos and Ink prints of all clients
• Fill out handwritten Chain of Custody form
• Ensure specimens are properly and accurately labeled
• Make FedEx run to drop off samples collected for the day
• Keep track of supply inventory and order as needed
• Able to work with the public and be friendly and professional
