Job summary

SPECIMEN SPECIALISTS OF AMERICA, INC. in Columbia, TN is seeking a reliable DNA Collector to perform cheek swab DNA testing for clients at the Maury County Child Support Office. The role requires punctual attendance, professional conduct, and the ability to work both with a team and independently.

Shift pattern is limited to two Wednesday sessions monthly, with rotating morning/afternoon times. Training is provided, supplies included, and prior COVID nasal swab experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.

• Take photos and ink prints of all clients.
• Fill out handwritten Chain of Custody forms.
• Ensure specimens are properly and accurately labeled.
• Make FedEx runs to drop off samples collected for the day.
• Keep track of supply inventory and order as needed.

Job description

We're seeking a reliable individual to work as the DNA Collector to provide DNA cheek swab testing to our clients at the Maury County Child Support Office in Columbia, TN for their pending child support cases.

PLEASE NOTE - This is for 2 Wednesday shifts per month and Hours Rotate between mornings and afternoons.

Having COVID testing experience/nasal swab is a plus. Applicants should have great customer service skills and work well in a team environment, yet be able to work independently. Must be reliable, professional and have a great attitude

• DRAW SITE: Maury County Child Support Office in Columbia, TN
• RECURRING SCHEDULE: 1st Wednesday every month 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm and 3rd Wednesday every month 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. (*hours rotate between mornings and afternoon)
• START DATE: Wednesday 11/4/2026

All staff will receive complete online training/ over the phone follow up training. All supplies including gloves, alcohol wipes, testing kits, camera, film, ink pad will also be provided.
