Job summary

Tiger Solar Company in Charlottesville, VA seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations including AP, AR, and GL reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.

The role supports project accounting, cost accounting, and compliance across locations, leads the accounting staff, and partners with Sales & Operations to improve business processes and cash reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• CPA or CMA certification a plus or progress toward.
• Understanding of cost accounting, job costing, and percent complete revenue recognition.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to non-financial management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
• Lead the month-end close and preparation of internal financial statements.
• Support project accounting, including job costing and WIP analysis.
• Partner with Sales & Operations to understand and improve business processes.
