Job summary

Evergreen Academy Montessori is seeking a full-time Toddler classroom teacher (ages 18 months–3 years) in Kirkland, WA. The role supports the lead teacher to foster independence and engagement using Montessori materials, guiding growth in math, language, science, and geography concepts.

The ideal candidate is positive, a good communicator, and passionate about child development, with at least a high school diploma and relevant Montessori credentials.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Early Childhood Education Certificate or equivalent college degree preferred.
• Must successfully clear criminal background check.
• Previous Montessori teaching experience preferred.
• Compliance with all state education and licensing standards and maintains validation of credentials for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in encouraging independence and active participation in learning.
• Guide students using developmentally appropriate Montessori materials.

About the Position

This full-time, year round teaching position will work with our Toddler students (ages 18 months- 3 years old) and assists the lead teacher in encouraging increased independence and active participation in the learning process in students. Using developmentally appropriate Montessori learning materials, you guide students as they grow in their comprehension of math, language, science and geography concepts. You will have the opportunity to work with students according to their individual learning capabilities and maturity levels, growing their confidence and problem-solving skills.
