Sylvania is seeking a Montessori Teacher to design and implement a Montessori-based curriculum that supports each child’s growth. You will collaborate with parents and staff to communicate progress and involve families in the learning process.

The role focuses on creating individualized plans, fostering a safe classroom, and participating in ongoing Montessori professional development to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate required.
• Montessori certification preferred.
• Previous Montessori classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively on a teaching team.
• Proficient in basic computer tools and online grading programs.

Responsabilités

• Designs and implements lesson plans using Montessori principles tailored to each child.
• Collaborates with parents, guardians, and administrators to address behavioral and academic challenges.
• Maintains a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Provides individual and small group instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Participates in ongoing Montessori professional development and training.
