Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking friendly, reliable Substitute Teachers to support our mixed-age classrooms (0–6) when full-time teachers are away. No Montessori training required; we provide orientation and onboarding.

This on-call, as-needed role offers flexible hours and a path to full-time opportunities as Assistant Teachers. You’ll help maintain a calm, nurturing environment and collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• TB test within the last 12 months.
• Valid state background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor.
• Passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups
• Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care
• Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction
