Job summary

Creative Montessori Academy, part of Choice Schools Associates, seeks a dedicated educator to support diverse learners using Montessori principles. The role focuses on 1:1 or small-group instruction, collaboration with the Special Education team, and coordinating materials to empower students with varied needs.

You will document progress for IEPs, assist with assessments, and help sustain an inclusive, respectful classroom.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or an associate degree or equivalent demonstrated by state/local assessment.
• Ability to communicate professionally with students, staff and guardians.
• Excellent verbal and written expression with proper grammar and vocabulary.

Responsibilities

• Supports student with a disability in 1:1 or small group capacity.
• Completes daily documentation of student with IEP.
• Works with Special Education team to support student.
• Assists classroom teacher in organizing and distributing materials.
• Assists in supporting instruction and engaging students in learning.
• Uses resources to support learning activities in classroom, Academy, and community.
• Demonstrates effective classroom techniques and fosters mutual respect.
• Assists in assessing learner needs, progress and achievement.
• Maintains individual student records as asked.
• Assumes other responsibilities assigned by teacher or school leader.
