Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field.
• Experience teaching music to young children.
• Strong musicianship across voice and piano or guitar.
• Familiarity with Orff Schulwerk, Kodály, or similar methods.
• Knowledge of Montessori philosophy and its music applications.
• Warm, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong collaboration and communication with staff and families.
• Commitment to DEIB values and whole-child development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized, well-resourced music classroom environment.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and participation for progress reports.
• Communicate with classroom teachers and advisors about student engagement and progress.
• Refer parent inquiries to the appropriate classroom teacher.
• Model professional behavior and uphold school policies.
• Perform other duties in support of the school's mission.
