Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Infant Guide to manage a mixed-age infant classroom (0–3) in a Montessori setting designed to support each child’s natural development. You will observe children, prepare an inviting space, and foster independence with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Interest in fully sponsored Montessori certification
• Experience working with children ages 0–3 in a group care setting
• Alignment with Montessori/Reggio Emilia or similar
• ECE or Child Development credits required
• Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to support development across physical, emotional, and cognitive domains
• Respect and follow each child’s natural rhythms for sleeping, eating, and toileting
• Prepare and maintain an orderly environment that fosters trust, movement, and exploration
• Encourage independence by involving children in self-care activities
• Build warm relationships with children and families and partner with parents
• Lead and collaborate with classroom team to create a respectful community
