Job summary

Alcuin School seeks a Substitute Teacher to support mixed-age Montessori or International Baccalaureate classrooms from toddlers to high school age students. Training will be provided during orientation and onboarding.

Responsibilities include snack and lunch supervision, playground oversight, carpool assistance, and delivering lesson plans or proctoring tests as needed. In Toddler Division, assistance with toileting may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide documents verifying authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must pass Criminal Background Checks, reference checks and Drug Testing
• Toddler Division: Health & Human Services Background Check may be required
• No formal Montessori or IB training required, High School diploma required

Responsibilities

• Help with snack preparation
• Provide playground supervision
• Provide lunch supervision
• Assist in arrival and departure carpool activities
• May deliver lesson plans and proctor quizzes/tests as qualified
• Toddler Division: assist children with toileting and cleaning themselves
