Salem Montessori School is hiring a Part-time Aftercare Elementary Assistant to create a safe, welcoming environment where children can unwind and learn after the school day.

You will support 1st–8th graders with outdoor play, creative projects, homework help, and community-building while modeling independence, respect, and Montessori principles. Requirements include 18+, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Ages 18 or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to be certified.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming environment where children can relax and learn after school.
• Support elementary students through outdoor play, creative projects, homework help, and community-building activities.
• Model Montessori principles, independence, responsibility, and respect.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive aftercare program.
