Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking an Assistant Montessori Teacher to join our team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on supporting Montessori classrooms for infants through Kindergarten, under trained teachers, to foster a lifelong love of learning.

Minimum qualifications include CDA or Associate’s Degree (or some college coursework) and being at least 18 years old. Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education is preferred. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy.
• Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed.
• Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health and care of students.
