Job summary

Cadence Education seeks an Assistant Montessori Teacher to join our caring team in Minneapolis, MN. The role supports Montessori classrooms across infant to Kindergarten age groups, working with trained teachers to foster a lifelong love of learning.

No prior Montessori experience is required, with on-the-job mentorship available. The position is full-time, with benefits including tuition assistance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development).

Responsibilities

• Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained, Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy.
• Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed.
• Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health, and care of students.
