Job summary

Guidepost Montessori in Laurel Oak is hiring an Assistant Guide to support a mixed-age Montessori classroom and help children ages 0–6 develop independence and confidence. You’ll contribute to prepared learning spaces and participate in personalized activities with patience and care.

You’ll work with Lead Guides and families to foster a calm, engaging environment where children explore and grow at their own pace, with opportunities for professional development and diploma training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in school or childcare settings.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in Montessori approach; prior Montessori experience welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to create a strong classroom community.
