Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant at our Leawood location to support a mixed-age classroom for ages 0–6. You will help create a calm, engaging environment where children are empowered to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.

You will collaborate with Lead Guides, prepare beautiful learning spaces, and support individualized and small-group activities while building warm relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
