Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a contract-to-hire IT Monitoring Specialist in Eagan, MN. You will administer Zabbix across Linux/Windows, configure AppDynamics dashboards, and support Everbridge integrations to ensure reliable alerts and performance visibility.

The role requires Python scripting for automation and strong ownership. The position is hybrid in Eagan, MN with a pay range of $20–$30/hr and eligibility for typical benefits for temporary staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years IT experience or 7 years IT experience without a degree.
• Must be eligible for a Position of Public Trust, including U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, five years of U.S. residency, and limited international travel.
• 3+ years of IT monitoring, NOC operations, SRE support, infrastructure operations, and related monitoring tools.
• 1+ year of cloud monitoring in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 1+ year of hands-on Python scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Zabbix monitoring across Linux and Windows servers, applications, and infrastructure services.
• Configure and maintain AppDynamics dashboards, health rules, and alerting to ensure visibility; support other dashboards as needed.
• Support Everbridge integrations and manage notification workflows.
• Implement and maintain monitoring for cloud services using native cloud tools.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate monitoring tasks and generate operational reporting.
